Software that fits the way your business already runs.

We're a small development shop in Little Rock. We build custom systems for companies that have outgrown spreadsheets and off-the-shelf tools, and we stick around after launch.

What we've built

Three products, three very different users. Each one started with a real problem close to home.

Inventory Ultra

Rebuilding for 2026

Inventory and operations software for small businesses that have outgrown the spreadsheet. The first version shipped to paying customers; we're rebuilding it from the ground up with everything we learned, and bringing those customers back first.

  • Stock, orders, and reporting in one place
  • Built for teams, not just the owner
  • Designed around the way small businesses actually count things

FenceRow

Live fencerow.farm

Know what every field has to make before you plant it. FenceRow tracks the breakeven yield and price for each field a farmer works, year after year, using USDA prices and yields alongside their own costs — with the math shown behind every number.

  • Per-field costs, prices, and breakevens that carry over each season
  • Versioned results, so a number shown to a lender doesn't change later
  • No estimates — if USDA has no data for a crop and state, it says so
  • Free for up to three fields; $49 a year after that

OnTrack

Built for our own family

A daily planner for homeschooling kids with autism and other special needs. OnTrack shows one lesson at a time, paces each course toward its finish date, and adapts the day's goal to how the student is feeling — so a low-energy day is a smaller day, not a failed one.

  • Read-aloud, dyslexia-friendly fonts, adjustable text and spacing
  • Focus timer with built-in breaks
  • Points and rewards parents set together with their kid
  • Parent view with a printable weekly report for homeschool records
  • An AI study helper for when they're stuck

We build the same way for clients: inventory systems, API and AI integration, automation, and the technical decisions in between. Tell us what you need.

How we work

  1. Scope it with you

A short discovery call, then a written plan with a fixed price and a realistic date. No surprises in week six.

  2. Build in the open

You see working software every week, not a reveal at the end. Change your mind early and it costs nothing.

  3. Hand it over properly

You own the code and the accounts. We document it, train your team, and stay available for support.

About

Pleasant Valley Labs is a two-person software company in Little Rock, Arkansas. We started it because the businesses we know kept getting one of two things: enterprise software that costs too much and does too little, or a freelancer who disappears after the invoice clears.

We'd rather be the people you call for the next ten years. That means plain English, fixed prices, and software you can actually run without us.

Tell us what's not working.

Send a few sentences about your business and the problem. We'll reply within a business day and tell you honestly whether we're the right fit.
